Disk Launcher talk

Started my run today using this with the LFE and Lock-on Laser.

So it can decapitate reds, but how about others? Didn't seem to work on snipers or golds but I might not have aimed it right.

The richochet is weird. Sometimes it bounces back to Sam. Wiki says it goes for nearby enemies.

I absolutely suck now. I totally forget all the buttons and keep throwing my grenades.

Angle might be wrong, though I think there's also some HP values that need to be crossed. Goldies are especially resistant and I don't recall ever snapping their head off.

Weird that little guys would be resistant when the big guy isn't.

Saw three of them lined up guarding the elevator. Decapped all of them. But it wouldn't work on the snipers.

So there's the big guy with the spiked hammer. Looks like one of his arms can be taken off. Can his hammer arm be cut off?

I find I have little interest in how this game is 'meant' to be played. Don't really care for boosting around an area or these rapid fire weapons, shotgun or rocket launcher. I've been shooting off heads/limbs with the DL, and shooting enemies through cover with the LFE. I'm keeping the AR because these odd guns don't hold much ammo and I like going into to slow and shooting the big bullets or grenades out of the air.

Tried the LFE on a cig but it didn't work. Disappointing.

Never even thought of doing that, damn. That'd be so cool if it worked.

In general delimbs are more related to big guys since they have a larger moveset to manipulate. Regular gorgies etc just have 2-3 attacks (shoot, melee, suicide), with a vivisection giving them access to the last one. Romanovs are a lot more complicated. That said I do wish it was expanded upon a bit more, NGII was already out when Vanquish was in development, so it's a shame they didn't see that for inspiration in how it handles this.

The game has an open-ended ranking system that allows you to be your own judge, which I think really homes in on the fact that there is no 'one way to play'.

Just had the idea to try and mix a disk with the LFE orb in the hopes that it could push the disk around or something really insane like have the disk stick inside the orb and create a vortex.

Nothing happening though. Sad.

Disk launcher has higher chance of decapitation if used as a melee.

and if memory serves right. you can delimb red and yellow gorgies and romanovs (all types of romanovs)

not sure if you can delimb those blue gorgies and green gorgies
