Combat video

Video is already removed sadly, but I managed to give it a watch before it vanishes. So far I wasn't impressed, but it is less disappointing than I expected. The combat is less on rails but really shows the AAA flaws in gaming. Combat is streamlined to hell and back and you can already tell that you have to play by the book. 

I do like that they took a note from Dante and Trish in how his axe works (glorified Sword Pierce/ Roundtrip), works nicely. But you can already see the flow surfacing. I really hope I am wrong. I'll give the game a shot if its on the cheap or used (don't want to support the developers on this one). I looks like its combat is better than most walky-talky games, but still it looks like it took a massive hit.

There are a ton of topics popping up on the PS4 board due to this video. Troll overload of course, and I'm seeing quite a few people commenting on the old games labeling them mashers and lacking depth. Again I just wish there was a huge tech guide we could just drop on them.

Even if there were it wouldn't matter. You could link them the most complex combo video and they wouldn't care. You could link the most in-depth fight, they wouldn't care. The name is tainted.

This sounds like an article idea. Why is it tainted? What is the origin? How do we untaint it?

The boss fight in this new one looks quite bad. Whack its legs till drops.

Hmmm. That's not a bad idea. I had a few minor topics like just that one but never had enough material. This will fit right in. Good call!

Look at that Dad of War topic where your points couldn't be refuted yet all they do is go in circles, making excuses not to answer.

As I said before, it's like they are afraid something could be good. They only real reason I can come up with is that being wrong is just too hard for some people.

As for the new one, it could actually be quite good as an action game. We don't know what abilities or weapons there will be yet.

I'm thinking of analyzing the video and listing everything I see but not sure if I can be bothered. I'm not against this game being good and it will be worth a rental.

Can you command the child to do sick drop kicks? Too immersion breaking I suppose, same as juggles. Ya know I’d like if it had goofy costumes like potato of war or such.

The kid is...pretty darn powerful. A single command to him will deal around 60-80% damage to a normal enemy. And he does do drop kicks haha.
