Am I being a cynic or does this article read like it was written by somebody who hasn't really played any of those games, but has heard people talk about them on YouTube?

Rock Paper Shotgun is extremely hit and miss. It's that type of site that gets reactions like "lol RPS, of course its trash" only to be quoted a few months later as "you should read this article idiot" - typical situations.

I gave it a read though (adblock enabled, no money from me), decided to be cheeky and just record it:
