Rather than flood the boards with individual topics, I'd rather consolidate them all here. Use this thread to recommend any you know of and provide video links if possible. I don't mind if the gameplay is good or bad, review or not. As long as you can see what it looks like and how it plays.

So, I got into these types of games not long ago and found I love them. Here's what I have so far.

Nex Machina - Probably one of the best I've played.

Resogun

Matterfall - Considered the worst of Housemarque's titles, but I find it fantastic. I guess people just couldn't get used to the controls.

Dead Nation

Alienation

Enter the Gungeon

Riddled Corpses - Just bought this. Weird game but I like how it looks and it's fun so far, only I can't get past stage 2. It's not because of bullets flying everything, but rather the zombies enemies and critters are everywhere and taking up space and you lose a life from just touching them.

Airheart - I haven't played this yet but it looks really interesting.

Played a bit more of Riddled Corpses. Managed to get to stage 4 and looks like there's only 5 stages in story mode. There's also survival and arcade modes.

There are other characters and you can level up with gold (pick up from enemies). You also have to buy other characters. All leveling up seems to do is makes your attack power go up. You don't have health, just lives.

When you die, you keep your gold and slowly power up your character. This was the only way I could get further. There are too many enemies on screen taking up all the space and if you can't free up that space fast enough, you can't move at all. They are at all times moves towards you, some shooting, so raising attack power is all you can do.

Seems other characters have special abilities. The one you start with has nothing. Overall seems very simple. The bosses are the ones that turn it into a bullet hell.

Maybe by tomorrow I would like to talk about Crimsonland.

Ok. Crimsonland is a dual-stick shooter where you shoot down mutants and bugs. It has powerups and perks with multiple weapons. While you do have unlimited ammo, you have to reload. I believe that there is only co-op multiplayer. You have two modes which is Quests and Survival.

I'll get to Survival later, as you have to do Quests first. Quests has only 6 chapters with 10 levels. Note that I will also compare PS4 version with the PS3 and Vita version. Once you are done with the level, you'll unlock a perk or a weapon. The perk will not matter much in the PS3 and Vita as the PS4 is the only one I know that can allow you to use perks in Quests.

It is also available on: Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Smartphones. Anyway, there are three difficulties. You will start with Normal. Once you have beaten Crimsonland Quests on Normal difficulty, then you have unlocked Hardcore difficulty. Do it all again and you have unlocked the Grim difficulty. I believe that the only changes in the difficulty is that it gets faster and you take more damage.

Survival mode has five modes. Survival, Rush, Weapon Picker, Nukefism, and Blitz. Survival is get the most points you can before you die. Rush is like Survival but you can only use the assault rifle. No power ups or perks. Weapon Picker is having limited ammo and it spawns at different points. Nukefism is where you have no ammo and you have to use powerups. Blitz is just fast-paced Survival.

Console wise I recommend PS4. It is easier. I'm sure it is the same as Switch and Xbox except that there is no touchpad for those two I think. This is by no means of advertisement but here is my only good video so far.

Finally, in terms of console difficulty from easiest to hardest imo: PS4>PS Vita>PS3

Crimsonland costs $13.99 but you can download the demo. It contains one chapter and survival mode.
