HomeJust as I wanted to finish my PAIN run...my PS2 died (sort of). It can't read dual-layered discs anymore which is apparently a common problem among PS2s. To make matters worse I only have two dual-layered discs...God of War I and God of War II. That's just grand. Welp off to buy a new one then.

Ahh, DL dvd. I hate those, though for different reasons. You couldn't make copies of games to use with Swap Magic. It could load them for some reason. Thankfully, not many games I like are on them. I can only think of Genji.
Somewhere online there's a list of DL dvd games. Useful if you're a swap magic user.

Yeah I found the list, it's not a big one thankfully. Genji was among them I saw too. Contacted the used store here to see if their PS2's are checked for DLdvd issues. They are only 20 euros with controller so I'll just buy a new one.

Just grabbed GoW 3 used for PS3 from a bargain bin. Only $8.
Probably wont be touching it for a while and I've never had an interest in the series. Will try to give it a go this weekend.

The series is, for me, the Mortal Kombat of the Action games. It feels very rigid when you first go into it compared to other games in the genre but once you know how it works it feels amazing. What I really like about GoW is how grabs work. It really is a grappling game.
