Horizon Forbidden West

First, Aloy is uglier than ever. Her face looks sunburnt with huge red patches on her cheeks and forehead. Also has these large red spots like pimples or an allergic reaction. Absolutely disgusting. What is wrong with these devices?

The NPCs, especially the females, look terrible too. It's like the devs went out of their way to make the ugliest people possible.

Lots of terrible changes.

There are like 6 skill trees. They've taken abilities and spread them across these so I have to buy a lot of shit to get to what I want. Like double and triple arrow aren't even in the same tree.

What were once normal abilities in the first game are now special moves that require weapon stamina. Even basic stuff like double and triple arrow.

It gets worse. These can't even be used with every bow type anymore. WTF?

And yes you heard that right. Fucking stamina.

There are actual special moves now but they have stupid costs. Like this exploding arrow uses weapon stamina AND three of my arrows.

Bows have to be upgraded now.

There's also Valor moves that are like buffs or a super attack. These run on a separate meter.

There's cooking. That's always retarded.

Cauldrons aren dungeons where you fight a big battle at the end and earn the override code for machines in that area. Did one yesterday and it wants materials to get the code for the big triceratops I fought. Piss off.

There's a 'base' now. I hope I don't have to upgrade it.

Swimming. The thing no game needs.

Combat itself is more or less like the first. I still only snipe and use stealth (until the game forces me into trash story encounters in a box) so I don't know how melee or the closer range weapons like machine gun and bombs work. I'm just running through hoping to get a bow with corruption arrows.

The spear has a lot of new moves.

I really can't be bothered explaining how this game sucks.

Sad that they made so many changes to the formula, as it seemed to be one of those few AAA games that had something on offer for both casuals and more mechanically interested players - I recall you liking the original quite a bit yeah?

Yeah but only because I could triple nock corruption arrows and watch them have a nuclear war.

Never cared for the rest of the gameplay.

It's incredible how dumb developers treat players these days. Is it really this bad? Have they been so dumbed down over the years they needed to have Aloy tell you to scan a quest area and follow tracks even after you'd done it 20 times already?

It's really insane. It's like they don't want you to think even for a second.
