This was on sale for only $36 (down from $99.99) so I grabbed it even though I won't get to it for a while. I used to have the PS3 version though didn't put a huge amount of time into it and greatly enjoyed it. Anyone else get into this?

This video goes over all the classes and skills.

I've never bought it or dove in beyond a demo that was on the PS-store at the time I believe. I'm still waiting honestly on a Switch release, think this game would be a hell-lot of fun to play on the go. I do still remember the outrage over the character designs. Have to say I still love the art-style, very over-the-top. Game sounds fantastic, let me know how much you enjoy it this time around!

I played a fair bit of the port on Vita and had a fun time with it. It was a really nice game to chip away at as a portable game. I think it would be right at home on Switch.

Doesn't seem like it's going to appear on anything other than Sony consoles. They would've done it by now.

What do these comments mean?
I see these somewhat often referring to certain games, but I don't get it. People were saying this about Gravity Rush 2 and how it belongs on the Vita. Why?

It's on PS4, so why not just get it if you want to play it?

I do still remember the outrage over the character designs.
I may have enjoyed this more than the game lol.

It's generally easier to make time to play something on a portable system since you can literally play it anywhere. Like, it's generally easier to get in a short 15 min session of Binding of Isaac or a game similar to that then get back to doing whatever you have to do, whereas if you were strictly playing on your TV or PC all those short sessions (which would add up fairly quickly over time) wouldn't happen. I imagine it's an even bigger deal for people living with families, where the TV isn't always available for one person all the time. I don't know about games like Gravity Rush 2, since it clearly wouldn't even be able to run on a Vita, but a massive RPG like Persona 5 being on Switch would allow people to utterly devour the game on a daily basis rather than just every 2 or 3 days or so if they were playing on PS4.

Of course, if you don't use your portable consoles that way it obviously would be of less use to you.

I get the portability thing, but I often see it applied to certain games, as if something about them were more suitable to being portable.

I'm not a portable person though. I have a 3DS but I never take it anywhere because I don't like carrying anything expensive. I think I only ever play it in bed lol.

I can understand your confusion, mostly what I mean by it, is that it looks like a game that is even enjoyable in short bursts. Like I am not just going to boot up my PS4 for a 5-10 minute game-session before work or while waiting for my potatos to boil. But a short beat'm up where I can just beat some faces in on my Switch is excellent.

My first impression was something that had frequent savepoints or checkpoints so you could shut it off at a moment's notice and not lose anything. Or, a game that is just fun in short bursts like say, Tetris.

Dragon's Crown probably doesn't fit either of those. I mean, it might, but I dont see it.

Again, I've never been a portable person. I only see portable devices as just another console with some game I want.

I often consider taking my 3DS out because I never touch it. I did once or twice but found it more annoying that anything. Like with Ever Oasis, you have to be at a savepoint. If I'm not near one when I need to get back to work or whatever, I lose progress. That's why I only ever play it at home

Anyway, forget all that and buy DC Pro!

You asked to let you know how much I enjoy it this time around. Well, I never got to the harder mode or final dungeon, nor did I get to test the character build I was thinking of.

The sorceress has a skill where she can summon skeleton soldiers (I'm sure you know why this appeals to me) but they aren't that strong especially on higher difficulties. It's definitely the weaker build but I don't care as long as I enjoy it. I used the shield spell to boost their defense, but I'm going to look into other options or spells that complement them.

For me it is mostly Sleep Mode, just allows you to press a button and continue whenever. Works fine. That said, I play a lot 'mobile'. My girlfriend sometimes wants to watch TV so I grab my Switch, or other times we take a long train-ride somewhere (or a plane) and it is handy to have.

But I agree if I really wanted to play and put time into it, I would've bought it already. And I haven't Razz I still might in the future, but I'm 'booked' until at least June with the games I have and those that are coming out.

I loved this game on ps3, one of my favorite beat em ups of all time. If anyone is looking for someone to play with, I will pick this up in a heart beat. Let me know.

I just picked this up to play with my GF. I forgot how damn fun the combat and juggling is. Playing the archer which is my first time not playing one of the melee classes, changes the game completely.

I planned to use the archer but never had time.

She is fun but takes a lot of skill to place shots, it's easy to be slightly off vertically. Let me know if you want to start an archer one day online. I also want to learn the mages.
