Tetris

Last time I played a Tetris game was when I was 10 I think.
Recently that new Tetris Effect demo was up and got me looking into the games.
I actually loved Tetris back then but never got into it. I used to have it on my original Gameboy.

Now, after watching these insane tournaments, I really want to get into it. I never knew about these big competitions.
So this is classic Tetris, on the NES, and is different from the modern versions. Really entertaining stuff and the terminology cracks me up like 'long bar drought'.

Jokes aside I've always loved Tetris. Suffered from a big case of Tetris Effect for a while which was really annoying, my father had the same to the point he had to stop playing, we loved doing score-runs when I was young. Absolutely love watching the tournaments as well as those insane 'invisible tetris' runs in GM-Tetris I think it's called. Fantastic game.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that classic version they're playing. I don't like how flashy the modern ones are and from what I've read they have all these extra mechanics.

The classical NES Tetris is the most pure one there is aside from the GB version. I'm honestly surprised it isn't on the Nintendo E-shop, but I think there are some issues with copyrights.
