Very interesting video highlighting a lot of bad trends in videogame discussion these days.

I'm too dumb to understand half of that, but in NZ games are always expensive. $60US converts to around $90NZ, then they have to make a profit so you'll usually see $120. Indie games that cost like $15 or less, that get PS4 releases are usually around $60-70. RE4 was like $80.

I usually just buy from Playasia. Last year I bought Okami PS4 from there, which was $79.99 here, for around $30, plus Loco Roco 1&2 remaster, plus Fedex shipping, all for less than Okami's NZ price!

The basic gist of it is: games are less expensive to make now, budgets are smaller, publishers make less games now and the overall profit is increasing. All thanks to DLC. Stop selling yourself short, the video was pretty easy to follow and I'm no accountant either ;p

Let me put it this way. I just don't understand economics stuff and I hate numbers. My brain shuts down almost immediately lol. Just doesn't compute with me for some reason.

But when it comes to language stuff like teaching English or learning Korean it's piss easy.

So all that stuff about HOW he got to his conclusions just went in one ear and out the other.

What I do understand is the conclusion, in which he states that games aren't expensive to make, and they don't actually need to do DLC and micro-transactions. They do it because they can/greed.

That was pretty insightful Birdman, I appreciate the honesty and clarity in your statements. Just saying...
