Sorry, but this game looks absolutely awful. Normally I like to give games a chance, but I don't know after seeing this.
The animations are terrible.

This looks...horrible. Bad acting, bad settings, the whole film part looks like it was an amateur film. Very bad budget it seems. I might give it a second look once it releases fully, but...no.

Look at how he turns. The collisions are whacky and his actual fighting style makes no sense. Those finishers got extremely repetitive. Seriously even The Bouncer was better than this.

The real question is not how they can release something so shit, but how they can do so at this juncture?

I was also getting The Bouncer vibes due to it being a Square-Enix game plus beat-'em up.

Boy was that cringey to watch.

The protagonist doesn't look much like a fighter, yet his wonky style and movements can carry him through fights. His live-action portrayal makes him look like Nikolai Fraiture from The Strokes. However, his in-game model looks as if the devs slapped Jill Valentine's head onto a scrawnier Leon S. Kennedy body. I can't take him seriously, even if the narrative gives a him a clear back-story or explanation.

The game looks and feels very clunky in its current state. They really need to polish this game if they are hoping for it to succeed in some way.

EDIT: Just found out the game is gonna cost $14.99, but with no actual release date yet. I'm not surprised at the price though despite the game's current state.

Wow, the Bouncer. Haven't heard that name in a while. Never played it but always eyed it.

In terms of price, that does make sense. Apparently its a very budget'y title, which I applaud. Not everything has to be AAA. That said, for the same price you can get Hellblade. While not mechnically strong, it looks much better than this in terms of animation and visual fidelity. Really curious who they feel is their target audience. Could be that they'll polish things up later though, you never know.

The whole movie to gameplay thing does bring back good Command and Conquer memories.

So this is out now and I've been watching some videos. It looks absolutely awful.

I don't know, maybe there are hidden mechanics but looking at how little combat there actually is, and how there's only like, 2 enemy types, if that, it won't even matter.

Looks like there's a dodge where he sways back.

I do like the concept of some deaf guy bashing people and going after his gf (or whoever she is) though. Looks like more or less the same base story concept as The Bouncer. But without subtitles it's hard to know if that's even what's really going on.

I've heard nothing but bad things about it sadly, the ideas are sound (ha) but it looks so unresponsive and messy I have no idea what went wrong. I'll be skipping this one.
