Bought this last night and it is horrifying. I dont even know what I'm seeing.  What I do know, is that it's addictive af.



Edit: This game is messing with my head. Played another stage after I got home and it was all I could take. The game is excellent and extremely addictive, but I only play it in short bursts.

I actually read a few pieces on it in Edge a while ago, really cool. The making off concept art was amazing too. Very psychidelic! Gameplay is good too then?

It's simple but very fun.

You have a few moves and types of obstacle but as you progress further the game mixes them up and it gets harder.

Kinda pissed off now.

I noticed on the title screen a mode called Play+. It was greyed out in earlier stages so I stopped paying attention to it.

What I just read is that Play+ was an update where the better you do, the faster you go and there are no checkpoints in levels.

I'm pissed because I didnt know which means I've been practicing and playing on an inferior mode getting used to a slow speed. I now have no motivation to play that + mode.

I'll still finish the main game though, as that's the rule I set to get through my backlog. No skipping titles.

So its sort of an infinite mode? Sounds pretty cool. What does it play like? The visuals make it show like a type of racer rhythm game?

Play+ is the same game but it speeds up the higher your combo is.

It's like a rhythm game where you have obstacles and you can die. It's not every beat like DDR or anything though.

You have a few moves to avoid obstacles. Jump, dash, and drift. Jump goes over spike floors, dash for bars blocking the track, and drift for sharp turn barriers. Some things are just for score and wont hurt you when you miss.

Some later tracks have track switching and enemies that appear on the track or something that can shoot lasers at you if you miss a beat.

There are some more advanced mechanis too.

The bossesare crazy and have their own tracks where you have to hit every floor panel which will make a projectile appear and let you shoot the boss. They usually require 3-4 shots and after each their track changes.

There is a separate infinity mode but I havent played it yet.
