What games have you recently bought or plan to buy?

I had a lot of fun with 2017 back in the day coop. It is Janky Japanese kaiju diablo. That is the best way I would describe it. The amount of guns were insane. Guns so crazy it would bring the fps down to like 5 frames or something with one shot. It was kind of awesome. Haven't touched one since then though, but it sounds like they only got better.

Got Iron Rain. Some quick notes.

*Customizable character (though not huge options).
*Mission select.
*Rankings.
*Tons of weapons.
*You can equip two, plus item slots for things like grenades, decoys, turrets, healing.
*4 classes but they can equip anything. The difference is in their power suits.
*Basic graphics, stiff, janky movement and vehicle control give that PS2 feel we know and love.
*Online co-op, couch co-op (split screen) and pvp though it doesn't seem to be straight 1v1, more like a competition to get the highest score but you can kill other players.

Multiplayer is awful beyond belief in the pvp mode.
Co-op is pretty shitty too in terms of framerate. In fact the whole game's framerate is hideous to the point that it doesn't even make sense.

Shame because the gameplay is reasonably fun.

I FINALLY have Devil May Cry V. I got the special edition. Just waiting for it to fully download.

Might give Dragon Quest Heroes a try.

Love the characters design and the monsters all have these creepy, yet goofy grins that make me laugh.

Didn't like the close range generic sword character I was forced to start with but soon after I got Isla who has this boomerang thing. Her playstyle is completely different and comparatively, far more advanced than the other party members I have.

Just received my physical copy of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. Wonderful game, going to give it a playthrough right now. Also ordered Mega Man X collection for PS4(I have it for switch but I want to play them again).

I just got Nights of Azure 2. Wont be playing it for a while though.

I have a remote interest in Blue Dragon so might look into that.

Shadow Of The Colossus(PS2) and Army Men RTS(Gamecube).

Dead or Alive 6 you mean? Yeah I played it for a bit, there's a free version where you have 4 characters. Honestly it is pretty fun, but I still like DoA2 more. Just has so much more content.

Genji: Days Of The Blade

Just got Mario Odyssey. It is a very refreshing break from all of the beheadings in Ninja Gaiden.
It has been like 10 years since Galaxy 2 which was the last proper mario game, and the last I played. The controls are tight, it looks great, and is just pure fun. It's like the opposite of ubisoft collectathons. The moons are very rewarding to find so far. There are some forced shake motion controls for throwing the hat, but that is my only complaint.

Wasn't that big on Odyssey to be honest, so I'm glad to hear someone having a blast with it! I'm still hoping for 3d World to get a port to the Switch. Loved that game! But I really hate hooking up my WiiU for some reason.

Arslan Musou is on sale too. Might grab it after some more research. Looks like it has two bow users, and some interesting mechanics involving using the whole army to attack.

Arslan and Musou All Stars are on sale. I already bought Berserk last week. They're all around $30 each which is fine but starting to add up.

I'm leaning more towards All Stars because it has characters from one of my favorite series, Kagero/Deception along with DoA and Nights of Azure.

Will watch some more videos to see if I can get an idea of how the Kagero characters play as they use traps, and if Arnice (NoA) can summon.

Found this weird shooter.

This has been on my list of things to pick up if i see it in a bargain bin. I played it some on psnow.
It is... ok. It's a straight up gears clone with heavy Japanese weirdness. Only played the first level, but you could throw the girl at enemies and do a one hit kill move. There was nothing preventing spamming so it made the game a joke. Hopefully there is a power meter or something later to prevent the spam.

Holy hell, the classic Gametrailers review setup, I really miss that website. Shame that Easy Allies didn't have the same effect. Like how the weapons at least try to be unique!

Reminds me Quantum Break shooter (probably because of the name), god that game missed the mark for me.

That was the only point of interest for me, otherwise it looks like a basic cover shooter I wouldn't touch.

Reminded me of Dead To Rights: Retribution, where you could send your dog to flank enemies in cover and he could even bring back their weapons.

On the PS4 I have been wondering if I should get Superhot or The Hong Kong Massacre.

Recently bought Warriors All Stars and Kingdom Hearts whatever that PS4 collection is called.

Damn, KH. Really? That's going to be one hell of a time-investment.

I only have interest in the KH2 Final Mix but will probably play the first one too.

Got Dragon Quest Builders recently.

Considering The Binding of Isaac. The complete version is pretty cheap now and I keep seeing it around.

I have put hundreds of hours into The Binding of Isaac, both the remake and flash version. The sense of discovery is almost unmatched, it's my favorite "roguelike" bar none.

Played the Code Vein demo today.

Has a ton of similarities to Souls. I don't think it's bad and seems to have decent ranged options. I dont understand half the mechanics so I'm not going to go super in depth but it has stamina and abilities cost some other resource similar to blood in BB I guess. Like I have a bayonet and pressing triangle fires a shot but it uses 1 point. Could probably build around stuff like this so you never have run out.

You lose everything in Isaac on death, but most runs give unlocks for future runs. The game is very generous with items as well.

I tried to get a key, but nothing so far.

At first I accidentally requested on the US Bandai Namco site and nothing showed up except a confirmation of the request. Tried again on the EU site and had to make an account but got the code instantly after that.

Bought The Evil Within 1 on Xbox One X yesterday. It was used and came with a DLC code that was expired. I thought, what the hell, and used it anyway. Lo and behold it actually worked! Who would've thought!

It wasn't. I saw it digital for $9.99 U.S. Dollars at the PS3 PSN store.

Bought Death End re;quest. Had to get it online because there's no physical version in my country. Can get on PSN though buy I only ever do that if I cant get a game any other way.

Dragon Star Varnir looks interesting. Another one with an odd battle system. This company seems to really try to come up with unique shit.

Yes, it was extremely cheap (only 3.40€) and I decided to buy it also because it's highly praised here

Went into a Gamemania yesterday (basically the Dutch equivalent of a Gamestop), just to browse some used-games while my girlfriend went to buy a dress. I didn't expect to buy anything, but there they lay!

Viewtiful Joe (PS2), Shadows of Rome (PS2) and Black (PS2), all for around €5,- each. Absolutely out of this world. Shadows played pretty fun but I zoned out at the walk-and-talk segments to try out the rest. Black is a fun old-style shooter, pretty nostalgic to play one like that again. VJ is VJ, I played the 'Cube version pretty intensely but never touched the PS2 version. Looking forward to unlock Dante!

Bought Streets Of Rage 2 and Revenge Of The Shinobi. Both for PS3.

Any Shenmue experts here?

I saw the remaster on sale and I'm going to grab it. Never got the chance to play these.

Did some reading and seems these version have a lot of issues though.
